Robert Edwards, DDS

Dr. Edwards graduated cum laude with his bachelor of science in Biology from Siena College in 1973 and then received his Doctor of Dental Surgery from University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine in 1978.  Although born and raised in Manhattan and Rockland County, NY, Dr. Edwards quickly made the southern Berkshires his home when he and a fellow classmate, Dr. Gary Delair, started a dental practice in Stockbridge.  Three years later, when another opportunity emerged, they expanded with another dental office in Great Barrington. 

Dr. Edwards is an active member of the American Dental Association, Massachusetts Dental Society, Berkshire District Dental Society and International Team for Implantology.  He has served on many committees for the Berkshire District, including chairman in 1996-1997 and currently represents the Berkshires at the Massachusetts House of Delegates.

Dr. Edwards has donated countless hours of his time to the dental community having volunteered for 10 years at Volunteers in Medicine, local free dental days and 20 years in LaVictoria, Dominican Republic at the dental clinic helping those in need. Over the years, he has also been involved in the local community coaching Little League and Babe Ruth Leagues, CCD teacher at St. Mary’s and St. Joseph’s, as well as performing as a tenor with Berkshire Bach Society for eleven years.  He is currently a Eucharistic Minister at Blessed Teresa of Calcutta in Housatonic and on the Zoning Board for the town of Stockbridge.

Dr. Edwards lives in West Stockbridge with his wife, Mary.  They have three grown children and two young grandchildren.

Jolene Krol, DMD

A native of the Berkshires, Dr. Krol has deep roots in the community. After receiving a bachelor of science in management from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY, she attended Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston, earning her Doctor of Dental Medicine in 2007.

Dr. Krol joined the practice in 2007 and became a partner in 2009. Aside from the practice, Dr. Krol has been active in the wider dental community, as a member of the Berkshire District Dental Society, Massachusetts Dental Society, American Dental Association and International Team for Implantology.

Dr. Krol is the former chairperson for the Berkshire District Dental Society for 2015-2017 and currently serves as treasurer. She earned the Massachusetts Dental Society's Top Ten Under Ten award, which recognizes 10 exceptional Massachusetts dentists who graduated from dental school within the past 10  years.

She also serves on the Berkshire District Dental Society continuing education committee. She has enjoyed volunteering her dental services to under-served children and families in the Berkshires through programs of the Massachusetts Dental Society and other local efforts, and also volunteered in the Dominican Republic to provide free dental services to those in need.

Besides serving the dental community, she has been involved in many musical shows to support local groups and raise money for local charities.

She lives in Pittsfield with her husband, Joe, and their three young children.

Elena Nazarov, DMD

Dr. Nazarov began her training in Russia where she received her Doctor of Dental Surgery and continued on to receive a certificate in pediatric dentistry both from the Medical University of St. Petersburg. She worked in the City Center for Pediatric Dentistry and taught pediatric dentistry at Medical University of St. Petersburg, before coming to the United States in the summer of 1996.

Dr. Nazarov received her Doctor of Dental Medicine in 2000 and then continued her training in Implant Fellowship and Advanced Prosthodontics Residency at the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine, which she completed in 2005.  She became Board Certified in the specialty of Prosthodontics in 2006. Along with being an Associate Clinical Professor in the Department of Reconstructive Sciences, she worked as a Staff Prosthodontist in the Center for Implant and Reconstructive Dentistry also at UConn Dental School providing comprehensive and esthetic dental care.

Dr. Nazarov and her family came to the Berkshires in 2010.  She joined the practice in 2015 and soon became a partner. She is an active member of the American Dental Association, Berkshire District Dental Society, Academy of Fixed Prosthodontics and Fellow of American College of Prosthodontics. 

Dr. Nazarov has completed clinical research, published articles in dental journals and has presented continuing education courses at local and national dental meetings.  She has been a regular participant in the Connecticut Mission of Mercy and has volunteered for the Special Olympics.

Dr. Nazarov lives in Lee with her husband, Dr. Vitaly Nazarov, a pediatrician at MACONY Pediatric & Adolescent Medicine in Great Barrington. 

Vladimir Nazarov, DMD

Dr. Vlad is a graduate of the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine and attended the General Practice Residency at St. Francis Hospital in Hartford, Connecticut. He has a passion for general dentistry with a focus on aesthetic restorative and surgical procedures as well as the evolving advancements in treatment options. During dental school, Dr. Vlad participated in a service trip to Maine and volunteered at a shelter for the homeless in Hartford, in addition to the Connecticut Mission of Mercy providing dental care to the underserved community.

Prior to dental school, Dr. Vlad graduated from the Rochester Institute of Technology receiving the Outstanding Scholar award with a degree in New Media Design & Imaging and worked in New York City and Washington D.C. as an animator and web developer. He was looking for a change for his career that would take him down the path towards growth and serving those around him and attended the George Mason University in Fairfax, VA for his post-baccalaureate coursework prior to entering dental school.

Dr. Vlad is a member of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists and the American Dental Association. He lives in Lee and in his free time enjoys spending time outdoors, going to the gym, music and photography. He is excited to begin serving those in the community.
